LAKE NAIVASHA

Lake Naivasha is a beautiful fresh water lake surround my volcanic mountains. Hippo, pelicans and other animals swim on and in the water whilst giraffes, zebra, waterbuck and buffalo grace it's shores.

The tour passes through Limuru tea farms and you will view the Great Rift Valley Escarpment. Lake Naivasha is a fresh-water lake with superb bird watching. Crescent Island, partially submerged rim of a volcanic crater, is a bird’s paradise and a game sanctuary where visitors can walk among wildlife.

Visit the Hell’s Gate national Park where you can easily walk on a trail down through a rocky gully into a primeval forest at the bottom of the gorge. You will also find bubbling hot springs here. Lunch will be at Elsamere Conservation Centre and watch a documentary on Joy Adamson of the “Born Free” fame. Drive back to Nairobi in the late afternoon.
