ITINENARY AND CHARGES

Day 1

We will pick you up fro your hotel, residence or airport in Nairobi and drive you to Naru Moru arriving there before noon. After briefing, check-listing your equipment and lunch, you are driven to Naru Moru gate. Here you start a 3 hour walk through the bamboo forest to Met station (3,000m). Overnight.

Day 2

The climb starts after breakfast, through the moorland to the crest of Teleki valley, down to Mackinder’s camp. You will spend the night here.

Day 3

A pre-dawn ascend (3 am) to Point Lenana (4,985m) arriving there to see the magnificent sunrise, enjoy the view of other peaks (Pt. Nelion & Batian). Weather permitting, Mt. Kilimanjaro protruding from the sky 340 Kilometres to the south. You start descends back to Mackinder’s camp for breakfast. Thereafter down to Met station for an overnight.

Day 4

After breakfast, a 2 hour walkthrough the bamboo forest again to Naru Moru gate where the van picks you for your next destination.

PRICE

$600 USD. per person. This rate is for a minimum of two.

Please note this price is accurate as of April 2010 and could vary due to rises in our overhead. However, we aim to keep the price as low as possible and the price on the website as up to date as possible. 

THIS INCLUDES:

- Park entrance fee
- 3meals a day
- Accommodation for 1 night at Mackinder’s camp and 2 nights at Met Station.
- Wages for porters
- Wages for cook
- Wages for guide.
- Transport from Nairobi to Mount Kenya, Naru Moru gate and back to Nairobi.

IT DOES NOT INCLUDE:
- Clients insurance

- climbing gear.
